Carbonbeton ist heute fester Bestandteil der Forschung und die Vielfalt der Anwendungen in der Baupraxis steigt. Mehrere allgemeine bauaufsichtliche Zulassungen und Zustimmungen im Einzelfall sind bereits erteilt und an ersten Regelwerken wird aktiv gearbeitet. Die Grundlagenforschung hat einen belastbaren Grundstein für die heutige anwendungsorientierte Forschung gelegt. Nachdem in den vergangenen Jahren vor allem die Materialien im Fokus der Forschung und Entwicklung standen, sind es in den kommenden Jahren immer mehr die Konstruktionen. Aktuell werden vor allem Carbonbetonprodukte und deren Herstellprozesse entwickelt und optimiert sowie neue multifunktionale Ansätze verfolgt. Das C³-Projekt bildet bis Ende 2021 das Zentrum der Forschung und Entwicklungen in Deutschland. Der Beitrag gibt einen kompakten Überblick über den aktuellen Stand der Entwicklungen in Praxis und Forschung.
Carbon-reinforced concrete – what is possible?
Carbon-reinforced concrete now forms an established feature of research and there is an increase in the diversity of applications in building practice. Several general building inspectorate approvals and agreements have already been issued in individual cases and there is active work on initial regulations. Basic research has laid dependable foundations for the present application-oriented research. In past years the emphasis of the research and development was primarily on the materials but in coming years it will be increasingly on the structures. At present the development and optimization are aimed primarily at carbon-reinforced concrete products and their production processes, and new multi-functional approaches are being followed. Until the end of 2021 the research and development work in Germany will be centred on the C3 project. The article provides a compact overview of the current situation of the developments in practice and research.
